White Label is exclusively representing an SME engineering and manufacturing business located in Bradford that require a Plant Manager to join their team.
As the Plant Manager you report directly to the MD and you will play a crucial role in the business and oversee Warehouse, Machine Shop, Purchasing and Commercial Operations.
The role is hands-on with 70% of your time spent on working directly with operations teams and 30% being strategic planning.
My client is offering an attractive package of: £75,000 - £80,000 + bonus + £550/month car allowance 33 days holiday including bank holidays and Christmas shutdown Pension matched up to 7% Private medical cover Life assurance Responsibilities of the Plant Manager To manage the day-to-day organisation of Operations activities and give clear direction to managers & staff.
Provide input on strategic business issues, particularly relating to Operations.
Production capacity, resource planning, plant and process capabilities/development, purchasing, health & safety environment and site services.
The implementation of business strategy in line with agreed business goals.
Monitor performance and Operational activities.
Co-ordinate and oversee activities of all Operations departments.
Implement manufacturing techniques appropriate to achievement of low-cost, high-quality products and customer service.
Oversee purchasing activities, liaise with key suppliers and develop supplier relationships.
Set and achieve daily and monthly production targets.
Assist with preparation of company budgets and forecasts, with reference to Operations costs, in liaison with senior team and departmental managers.
Experience required of the Plant Manager A minimum of 15 years of experience of engineering and manufacturing experience.
Proven track record of running an operation and spending time with people at all levels.
Experience managing a team.
Educated to HNC level or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
