Company Overview: Coinford is a groundworks and concrete frame specialist that delivers contracts ranging from £1million to £50million throughout London and the South East of England.
The role works out of our Plant Yard in Burstow Surrey.
Role Purpose/Objective: Ensure the effective and efficient day to day running of all plant minimising the downtime of plant on site.
To repair and service a wide-ranging stock of construction plant to a professional high-quality standard.
Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety Ensure the working environment is safe for carrying out the necessary tasks.
Ensure appropriate PPE is correct for the task being carried out.
Ensure that yard and workshop safety rules are adhered to.
Quarantine equipment if unsafe to use.
Comply with RAMS applicable to workshop fitters.
Ensure that plant certificates are completed and updated.
Ensure management of COSHH systems and substances.
Ensure you comply with current Hot Works Permits.
Training to ensure that specific tasks can be carried out.
Completion of PUWER register.
Quality Regular liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure good communication between workshop, office and Mobile Fitters ensuring that site receives the best service.
Ensure work is carried out in a timely manner.
Repair and service the plant to a professional high-quality standard.
Ensure plant is fit for purpose.
Notification of potential re-occurring issues.
Ensure jobs on tablet are filled out correctly and accurately.
Any paper-based forms are handed in to the Workshop Administrator.
Ensure correct parts are made available for the daily tasks via Parts Supervisor.
Effective communication with Workshop Supervisor and Parts Supervisor, about current stock levels of replacement parts.
To show professionalism and to be the ambassadors of the company.
Commercial Minimise downtime on plant.
Ensure stock levels are correct and ensure parts are ordered in time for the task being undertaken by liaising with Parts Supervisor.
Ensure the age and model of plant is current to ensure that parts are available for repair, and to notify Workshop Supervisor if plant is no longer economical for repair.

Experience/skills required: Experience of working with Plant and the maintenance of Plant Product knowledge – Plant Manufacturers Lift Operations and Lifting Equipment (LOLER) Preferred International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Preferred Provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998 (PUWER) Clear verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Problem solving Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good understanding of Health & safety Ability to coach/support junior members of the team (apprentices) as and when required Qualifications: NVQ in Plant Maintenance GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent
