Plant Fitter

We are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter to join a growing construction firm based In the Walsall area.
The role will cover the East Midlands area and the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a wide range of plant machinery and equipment, ensuring that it operates efficiently and safely.
To be considered for the Plant Fitter role you must have: Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Full UK driving licence.
Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) are preferred.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Plant Fitter role Include: Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, and other heavy equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce machinery downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate any major repair needs.
Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
