Our client a key O&G Operator in the North Sea requires an experienced Planning and Scheduling Team Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a newly created position reporting to the Senior Manager of Operational Excellence, the Planning & Scheduling Team Lead will be responsible for facilitating and implementing continuous improvements to Scheduling and Integrated Planning processes across the organisation.
Asset Planners and Schedulers will have a matrix reporting line to this position.
You will be required to mentor and develop the asset planning and scheduling team, overseeing the planning and scheduling documentation within UKMS, and take a lead role in creating long-term plans.
This involves collaborating with asset planners and all functions to deliver and drive comprehensive Integrated Asset Plans throughout the asset lifecycle.
You will be responsible for implementing improvements to current processes and ensuring standardisation across all asset teams.
You will:
Develop the Integrated Asset Plan and associated histograms to produce strategic, 2Y, 1Y, 90 Day, and 28 Day versions.
This involves creating and maintaining work breakdown structures (WBS) for alignment with management and company cost reporting requirements, consistently using planning tools across assets, and reviewing KPI performance for improvement.
The Lead ensures effective communication with internal and third-party interfaces, works closely with the Maintenance Methods Team to meet scheduling requirements, and acts as the focal point for ongoing planning initiatives.
Collaborating with the Asset Leadership team, the Lead aligns the Integrated Asset Plan with the budget process, actively participates in the annual Work Program and Budget (WP&B) process with the Finance team and facilitates long-term planning meetings.
The role includes sharing lessons learned and best practices, reviewing and amending Planning Meeting Terms of Reference, providing resources for peer reviews, audits, and gate reviews, and owning relevant Planning and Scheduling Procedures and Processes within UKMS.
Who are we looking for?
Candidates should preferably be degree-educated or have proven experience in similar roles, with a background in asset planning and scheduling.
You should have demonstrable supervisory experience within a planning organisation and be adept at facilitating and influencing business planning processes.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working across all organisational levels, be conversant with key facets of offshore operations, and possess extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 and its capabilities.
A working knowledge of SAP for maintenance scheduling is required, along with the ability to create meaningful schedules and WBS, including resources.
Effective interaction at all levels, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including confidently chairing weekly onshore/offshore meetings, are essential.
