Working as the Highways Planning and Project Manager you will join the Capital Schemes team and will support the organisation in the delivery of a wide range of projects across infrastructure, working to help make a difference with clients in the delivery of a broad range of complex projects and programmes.
As the Highways Planning and Project Manager you will be responsible for managing projects in accordance with the change framework, working across a portfolio of projects for the Capital Schemes Service.
Working independently and pro-actively, you will lead on the delivery of the key objectives, engaging with managing stakeholders, and delivering high quality outputs and outcomes.
DUTIES Your duties as the Highways Planning and Project Manager will include: Senior stakeholder engagement requiring strong management of plans and milestones, monitoring and action tracking, production of outputs and working at pace Designing highway schemes from feasibility through to detailed design in accordance with relevant UK standards (DMRB, Manual for streets, MCHW, among others) as well as producing high standard professional written technical reports Answering queries and responding to technical issues, provide support, and ensure that successful outcomes are delivered, which add improvement to services, customer outcomes, and savings Pre-empt problems and resolve quickly to protect projects.
Work with all parties in a collaborative manner and make decisions to ensure projects and tasks are on time and budget Lead, manage and develop project teams or work streams as part of larger projects or programmes CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Degree or HND qualification in Civil Engineering, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
