We're looking for a Planner to join our Anglian Water team based in Norwich Location : Whitlingham, Norwich Contract : Permanent, full time Effective planning is a cornerstone of successful Project Management.
The project plan is the roadmap to us delivering the project on time.
It allows us to identify the whole scope of the project and the resources required to deliver it.
It helps us to understand and manage our key interfaces, identify, manage and mitigate risks, and to identify, exploit and maximise opportunities.
In this role, you'll be working within the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) team that consists of Anglian Water, Kier, Barhale & Morrisons who work across multiple disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation on water recycling solutions and the clean water base.
We incorporate new construction, replacements or repairs spanning across the Anglian Water region.
What will you be responsible for?
The Planner is a key member of the integrated project delivery team to collaboratively develop and maintain accurate and robust project plans.
Working closely with all the other members of the team, you will take ownership of the project plan by driving the project team to deliver to the plan and challenge any delay & deviation.
Your day to day will include: Collaboratively develop and maintain robust detailed project plans for the delivery team in accordance with IOS and Anglian Water requirements Liaise with delivery teams to ensure consistency of key assumptions on methodology and outputs Ensure project plans capture the full project scope and attend site regularly to gather programme update information Responsible for planning standards are maintained across IOS and published processes are adhered too Take ownership of the integrity of your project plans and ensure they stand up to detailed scrutiny Complete and comply with all operational site H&S requirements to ensure safe working practices What are we looking for?
This role of Planner is great for you if you hold: Experience of working on large scale or significant value projects within the civil engineering sector, preferably in the water industry MS Project experience along with one or more civils, water, wastewater or M&E Knowledge of current H&S requirements Full driving licence We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
