Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Planner to be engaged on a permanent basis within the UK Defence sector. Candidates will ideally be based in Glasgow.
As a Planning Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, working on the latest cutting-edge technology for the UK Defence sector.
Day-to-day, you'll:
Identify the maintenance data and work required for the future project maintenance periods. Resolve any planning and scheduling ambiguities within these activities. Provide regular liaison with a variety of stakeholders to ensure accuracy and achievement of the required quality. Build the indicative planning schedule (key date schedule) for the maintenance work activities. Essential Experience: Experience working as a Planning Engineer on complex engineering projects OR experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer. Understanding of relevant systems such as P6 or Microsoft project. Qualifications: Ideally hold an HNC or HND, although this is not essential. Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
