Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Planner to join our team in Derbyshire. As a key member of our planning department, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of our diverse range of construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile commercial, industrial, and public sector projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Organise Internal Preliminaries Meetings: Coordinate and lead internal meetings to discuss project preliminaries, ensuring all relevant stakeholders, including Directors, Operations Manager, and Contracts Manager, are aligned and informed. Present Workbooks: Prepare and present detailed workbooks to senior management for agreement, ensuring all project aspects are thoroughly covered and understood. Develop Method Statements: Create comprehensive method statements that outline the approach and procedures for project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Logistics Planning: Develop and implement logistics plans to ensure efficient and effective movement of materials, equipment, and personnel on-site. Programme Development: Create detailed project programmes that outline timelines, milestones, and critical paths, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Preliminaries Preparation: Prepare and manage preliminaries for projects, including cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation. Post-Tender Planning Support: Provide ongoing planning support after tender submission, addressing any queries or adjustments required to secure project success. Collaboration with Estimating Team: Work closely with the Estimating Team to ensure bids are compliant, competitive, and of high quality, contributing to the overall success of the tender process. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in planning within the construction industry. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
