Responsibilities

Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Technical Leader, this role will be responsible for maintaining equipment through performing regular PM tasks and other maintenance activities as required according to the equipment maintenance plan.
Will assist manufacturing unit team with production maintenance issues as necessary and mentor the unit technical staff in best methods of troubleshooting and operational repair techniques.
This role must be willing to adjust work schedule as needed to perform essential PM activities and maximise equipment availability.
Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.
Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function.
Ability to read and write and converse in English.
Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Main responsibilities will include:



Maintain equipment by performing AM/PM activities, ensuring activities are completed on-time and executed according to the plan.



Work closely with Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are well documented.



Conduct regular maintenance audits of equipment, identifying potential continuous improvement opportunities to improve PM program effectiveness.



Provide leadership for TPM activities as assigned.



Support the organisation and preparation of spare parts and other applicable materials required to complete maintenance tasks for planned maintenance periods and equipment rebuild program.



Required to work during plant shut down periods to perform maintenance activities.



Provide support to the manufacturing unit technical teams as required to ensure optimal equipment performance.



Assist with technical development and training opportunities for unit technical staff on all shifts.



Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.



About you:



Minimum Level 3 in electrical or mechanical engineering (Or time served experience)



Preferably held a technical role within a production environment



Experience in a related plant maintenance environment, ideally maintenance activities related to production equipment within a high-volume manufacturing environment.



Have knowledge of maintenance systems and procedures, ideally SAP.



Knowledge of TPM manufacturing techniques.



Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.



Proactive and decisive teammate with good people skills



Proficient in English
