Frontier is pleased to confirm that we will be offering a placement for 2025 2026.
The placement will commence in July 2025 for a period of 12 months.
The successful student will have the unique opportunity to work within 5 key areas of the Frontier business.
The Recruitment Process Stage 1: Apply online (All applicants) Stage 2: VC Interview (For those that have been shortlisted) Stage 3: Assessment Centre (For those that have been shortlisted) The assessment centre for this placement opportunity will be Tuesday 3rd December 2024 and will be at Witham St Hughes, near Lincoln, Lincolnshire.
Placement details Farm Trading 3 months - July 2025 to end Sept 2025 Role: Commercial Support Assistant for the Farm Trading Team in the Sandy, Bedfordshire.
Assist sample collectors during busy times; this will include both farm site visits and planning Assistance with organisation of local meetings and events Administration of contracts Provision of prices for commodities Resolution of customer queries in a timely and professional manner In conjunction with Farm Trader, management of customer relations on commercial and non-commercial aspects of contracts Ensuring consistent point of contact and customer service representation for customers from purchase to delivery Other support as required by Farm Traders, including contacting customers and sending information To provide administrative support, including answering phones and dealing with potential visitors, if in the office Forwarding/Logistics Coordinating 3 months - Oct 2024 to Dec 2024 Role: Forwarding team based at Sandy, Bedfordshire.
Experience the forwarding team role Learn about our haulage and logistics service to our customers Assist with the movement of the bulk vehicles and work with the driving team Liaise with other grain teams in the business, planning, trading and admin Grain Administration 5 weeks Jan 2026 to mid-February 2026 Role: Grain administration team based at Witham St Hughs, Lincolnshire.
This role can be done remotely form the sandy office.
Gain an understanding of how Grain Administration functions and the links it has with other grain services (trading and forwarding etc) Deliver a first class service to customers and suppliers Operations 5 weeks - Mid Feb 2026 to Mid-March 2026 Role: Operations Team at Diss, Norfolk.
This will be an operational position working on site, outside Understand why health, safety and environment are the No1 priority for Frontier and what that means in practice for the company and its staff Get end-to-end operational insights in the primary product lines; grain storage, seed production, crop protection and Kings Learn how Frontier ensures operational and commercial security through rigorous QA procedures, lab testing, experience, and applied expertise Experience the day-to-day operational demands of a market leading company Kings 3.5 months Mid March 2026 to end June 2026 Role: Kings Team normally based at Diss, Norfolk.
This is an excellent opportunity to experience the Kings Crops section of the Frontier business This part of the rotation will allow you to experience all areas of the Kings business Please note for the right candidate, this part of the placement could be extended as a harvest temp over the summer of 2026.
Whilst the placement programme is mapped out, we are open and actively encourage the successful placement student to experience a day in the life of with other areas of Frontier, including Agronomy.
