Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Hours: Part-time - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide personalised 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, including autism, in a mixed Reception and Year 1 class.
By creating a positive and structured learning environment, you will play a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities: Provide individualised support for pupils with SEN, helping them access the curriculum.
Adapt activities and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Establish consistent routines to promote stability and engagement.
Implement behaviour management techniques to encourage positive outcomes.
Work collaboratively with teachers to support the pupil's learning journey.
Develop supportive and trusting relationships with pupils, fostering confidence and growth.
Essential Experience/Attributes: Previous experience working with children that have special educational needs.
Experience supporting pupils with autism and other SEN needs.
A DBS check registered on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
The ability to remain calm in challenging situations and respond to the needs of the pupils.
Must be able to understand and follow the school's safeguarding procedures and behavioural policies.
Qualifications relating to education, special educational needs, counselling, or psychology are not essential but will be looked upon favourably.
