Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis team based at University Hospital Llandough.
The postholder will work across the service in their role and an interest in exercise testing and prescription in respiratory health would be desirable.If you are passionate about patient care and have the drive, commitment and enthusiasm to deliver excellent care for people , we would love to hear from you.We are looking for dynamic and experienced physiotherapist who has a demonstrable interest in working with people with a chronic respiratory condition.The successful candidate will be required to promote effectiveness through service evaluation and active research within an inclusive working culture supporting staff well-being, whilst demonstrating and promoting professional curiosity.We have an award-winning Rehabilitation Model led by AHP's which will drive the ongoing development of our services.

Main duties of the job The Specialist Physiotherapist will have relevant demonstrable skills and previous senior clinical and leadership experience and skillsensure holistic high-quality assessments and care needs are metmanaging own specialist clinical caseloadbe able to provide expert clinical support and advice to patients and carerscollaborate closely with key stakeholders which will include identifying areas for service development and improvement, to continue implementing transformational changeadvocate and support patients' rights by promoting shared decision making, respecting individual choice and beliefs, ensuring privacy and dignity at all timesdemonstrate excellent communication skills work delivering information sensitively and effectivelybe able to work autonomously using advanced clinical judgement and knowledge within a multi-disciplinary team, holding a caseload planning, delivering and monitoring interventions and to communicateTo advise and educate individuals and their families/carers on the management of individual problems to overcome barriers to change and facilitate behaviour change We are highly committed to developing our workforce and there are extensive opportunities to be involved in service improvement and research.We welcome enquiries and encourage you to contact us.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Recognised qualification degree / equivalent in physiotherapy HCPC registration Specialist training/courses to Postgraduate Diploma level or relevant experience Desirable Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Experience Essential Significant post registration clinical experience in a physiotherapy position within the specialist area Active involvement in service development and quality initiatives Desirable Experience of providing clinical supervision Experience of teaching other disciplines Skills Essential Highly developed specialist physical skills relevant to the clinical area manual techniques and therapeutic handling Personal responsibility for learning and development Confident with digital technology platforms/apps Ability to manage a clinical caseload Excellent communication skills with healthcare professional and the public Ability to keep accurate and legible patient records and statistical information Evidence of involvement in audit and research Proven ability to motivate others, promote coproduction and empower others Desirable Presentation skills Special Knowledge Essential Specialist physiotherapy knowledge in the clinical area Awareness of Health and Safety/ clinical risk management Comprehensive awareness of NHS systems Desirable Exercise testing and prescription Personal Qualities Essential Able to lead by example, and role model UHB behaviours and values Proactively manage own wellbeing to cope under pressure Other Essential Able to travel, in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the job, this may include cross site working or various locations, carrying sensitive information and bulky equipment Participate and experience in Emergency respiratory rota Desirable Membership of relevant special interest group The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role
