Job overview Working Full or Part time We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to help support the provision of a rehabilitation service at Pinetum Nursing Home, based on the Countess of Chester Health Park.
You will be part of the Inpatient Frailty Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital who are responsible for the therapy provision for these beds.We provide therapy to approx.
12 patients who are in NHS funded rehabilitation beds within the care home.
Our primary focus is to provide a high level of rehab in order to help support patients back to their own home.
The service runs 5 days a week – Monday to Friday.
You will work in conjunction with the Senior Therapy Assistant and Discharge Co-Ordinator to help achieve timely and safe discharges whilst ensuring patients have the therapy provision to enhance their function.Whilst this job is being advertised to specifically cover Pinetum, you will be part of the wider Inpatient Frailty team and as such, dependent on the needs of service, will need to be flexible to work across all frailty services, this includes our Intermediate Care facilities elsewhere.
Main duties of the job The assessment and treatment of patients.The supervision and education of more junior staff.Work as part of an MDT managing a caseload of patients .Contribute to service development.Be responsible for own learning and seek opportunities to develop knowledge and skills.
