Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to progress your physiotherapy career within the well-established and dynamic physiotherapy service working across different sites in Oxford.
You will be kept busy travelling to all different sites and seeing many different people.The team are looking for an existing band 6 Physiotherapist looking to build on their skills through this post and to integrate themselves in a team who is excited about their work.
Main duties of the job Perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
Communicate with relevant medical and nursing staff, social workers, and other health care professionals, and patients relatives and carers who may be in direct contact with the post holder with regard to patient care in order to facilitate a team approach to patient care.
Hold responsibility for own case load and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision.

TheWhiteleaf Centre has 4 wards (2 acute, 1 rehab and 1 older adults - mixedDementia and functioning mental health).The role will include assessing and treating patients with complex longterm neurological conditions, MSK conditions, and mobility difficulties andsupporting physical activity on the wards along with the Physical FitnessPractitioner and Physiotherapy Technical Instructors.
You will have responsibility for supervisingjunior staff and physiotherapy students, and for supporting the professionallead in service development and quality improvement projects.
You will be working alongside a broadmulti-disciplinary team facilitating holistic care.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Professional Qualification, BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy Professional Registration (HCPC) Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio or training demonstrating advanced knowledge of rehabilitation Desirable Post graduate qualification in subject related to rehabilitation or MSK Physiotherapy MSc or equivalent qualification eg.
Advanced Physiotherapy Experience Essential Postgraduate experience working in the NHS as a Physiotherapist at Band 5 level within a range of clinical areas of practice Experience of managing complex patient caseloads and developing management plans based on advanced clinical reasoning Experience of supervising other staff or students Desirable Experience working with older adults.
