Job overview Developing Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Band - – Voice ( WTE)We have an exciting new vacancy in BCUHB East Speech and Language Therapy adult team working days per week ( hours).
You will lead and continue to develop our voice service.
There are opportunities to contribute to other service areas such as FND or adult dysfluency in line with your clinical skills and interests.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job This is an opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist.
Based on your experience, we will support you to progress in this role with our band - competency framework.
Previous experience of working in Voice and the ability to manage a caseload independently is necessary.We are looking for a clinical specialist who can support and develop SLTs and TIs, represent SLT within the MDT and help to drive the future development of our services for voice.
We have excellent working relationships with our ENT department, including a twice monthly Joint Voice Clinic.
There are opportunities to deliver some aspects of this role remotely.You will be part of the friendly and supportive BCUHB East Adult Speech and Language Therapy team where there is a wide range of expertise and experience.
You will join a growing team of Speech and Language Therapists and technical instructors.
There is excellent peer support and regular clinical supervision.We have regular team meetings and have strong links with other specialist services.
There are regular cross team CPD and training opportunities as you continue to develop your clinical skills.
There is access to regular therapist-led and MDT clinics including Videofluoroscopy and FEES.
You will lead a range of service improvements and MDT initiatives are encouraged.We are very happy to answer any questions you may have about this role and welcome informal visits.
