Job summary Queens Park Surgery in Bedford have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join our practice, on a full orpart time basis to suit the successful applicant.
Main duties of the job You will be developing our prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient prescribing within the practice and supporting the reception and admin teams with complex medication regular tasks will involve supporting the GP partners on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits and actions.
Youwill benefit from this unique opportunity to build up strong working relationships across our organisation and will be actively involved in how this role evolves over time.
About us We are a very long-established practice working on two sites in Bedford, looking after 12,500 patients.
We are also care taking another local practice in Bedford with a list size of 9,000 patients.Bedfordshire is a great location and has a reputation for excellent schools, beautiful villages and countryside, close to Milton Keynes for shopping, and 35 minutes from London by train.

Person Specification Experience Essential You will have strong experience in either a community pharmacy or primary care setting and be confident in analysing and presenting information to health professionals.
You will also have experience of implementing and promoting cost effective strategies.
You will have the ability to interpret complex clinical information and present in suitable formats to a variety of people from professional and non-professional backgrounds.
Qualifications Essential Candidates must be a qualified and registered pharmacy technician with GPhC and hold a Diploma Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services.
