We are looking for a dynamic leader to take on the role of Pharmacy General Services Manager.
An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, innovative registered Pharmacy Technician to lead the pharmacy team.
You will have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills and be able to work individually, with the Pharmacy team, and Trust wide.
You will support the Pharmacy Team to ensure that patients receive safe, high quality and clinically effective pharmaceutical care.
You will support the Chief Pharmacist in developing operational Pharmacy services in a manner that reflects Trust, local and National Health Service strategy and priorities.
As a member of the Senior Pharmacy Leadership Team, you will help develop and deliver a strategic vision for the Pharmacy Department.
You will oversee recruitment and retention of staff and be financially aware of the Pharmacy Budget.
You will also support in the upkeep of the pharmacy estate making sure jobs are reported in a timely manner.
HR responsibilities will play a large part in this role including sickness monitoring in conjunction with the Trust Workplace Health and Wellbeing and positive Attendance Policy.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will act as the accountable deputy to the Chief Pharmacist in all general managerial activities and will be responsible for the quality of the services provided by the pharmacy department in conjunction with the Chief Pharmacist.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that standards are maintained, particularly with respect to statutory legal requirements, and ensuring that a high quality service is provided in a consistent and equitable manner to all service users.
The post holder will work closely with the Chief Pharmacist and Deputy Chief Pharmacist to ensure that a well-led pharmacy service is provided.
The Pharmacy General Services Manager (Chief Technician) will be expected to:
Be responsible for all technical services provided by the pharmacy department and all dispensary activities.Act as a role model to all staff and provide 'in-house' support for all staff relative to their needs.Develop, implement and monitor standards for the pharmacy service.Co-ordinate and implement practice development within the pharmacy department.Oversee and manage the activities of the senior technicians (team leaders), pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, student technicians, clerical staff and others, as delegated.About usBolton NHS Foundation Trust provides services across the North West side of the Greater Manchester area ranging from hospital services in Bolton to community services across Bolton, Salford, Ashton, Leigh and Wigan.
