We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacy assistant to join our expanding clinical governance / clinical trials team.

You will bepart of a well-supported and established team, working with experienced staff.
We will make sure that you are offered appropriate training and development for the role if required.
This is a new role, and opportunities will be availble depending on previous experience.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Please note this post is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
Main duties of the job To follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all relevant regulations in the course of dutiesTo work within Trust and local policies, and to report any non-compliance to the relevant managerTo contribute to the stock management of clinical trial medicationTo check stock levels and expiry dates of clinical trial drugsDispensing of clinical trials prescriptionsDelivering dispensed medication to the research teamsTo assist with filing, and managing pharmacy clinical trial paperworkTo book appointments with trial sponsorsTo monitor the temperature-controlled storage areas for clinical trial drugs and report deviations to the clinical trials pharmacy techniciansTo answer telephone calls and enquiries as appropriateTo liaise with patients and nursing staff about prescription deliveriesTo attend relevant meetings with the clinical trials pharmacists and clinical trial pharmacy techniciansGeneral administrative tasks as required to support the clinical trials teamTo complete any required training for the roleAssist with audits About us Our People Charter outlines the behaviours we can expect from one another and what you can expect from Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust: We value people We are one team We care We're keen to meet people who share these values and are passionate about delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.

Person Specification Experience Essential Significant experience of working in a pharmacy (hospital experience not essential, training will be provided) Desirable Experience of working in a similar role Experience of completing basic admistration tasks Skills Essential Numeracy skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Good communication skills Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Ability to work effectively under pressure Good team working skills Demonstrable attention to detail Computer literate Knowledge Essential Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality Understanding of equality and diversity issues and how this affects patients, visitors and staff Understanding of what teh NHS constitution means to you; and your responsibilities to the public, patients and colleagues Qualifications Essential Good basic general education NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or willing to work towards this qualification - in which case the salary will be paid at 75% of top of Band 3 salary, until the qualification is obtained).
