HMP Winchester has free onsite parking as well as excellent transport links - there is a bus stop opposite the site and the train station is a 10 minute walk.
This is a fantastic entry route into a Pharmacy in a unique environment, with lots of opportunities for training and career development!
Hours: You will be working hours per week, usually between 09:00 - 17:30.
Salary: This position is full time, and youll receive an annual salary of £24,669 - £28,690 - depending on experience.

You will: Complete general dispensary duties and stock management Be working as an active member of the Pharmacy team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas Participate in dispensing of prescriptions and medical equipment If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Our new Pharmacy Assistant will: Ideally have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards Medicines handing experience desirable not essential Ideally have experience within a Pharmacy environment (such as community or hospital based), but this isn't essential Any experience with ProScript or SystmOne would be a bonus A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Good IT skills and IT literacy Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
