Job summary UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun, a category C Prison located in Thorpe Arch West Yorkshire.
HMP Wealstun houses around 800 male patients most of whom are aged between 20-40.
The pharmacy on site is busy and faced paced, you will be joining a large multi-disciplinary team and will be working closely with the pharmacy manager, technician and dispensers to ensure the team are working together to provide high quality pharmacy services.
Hours Tuesday and Friday 8am-4pm Salary This position is a part time role working 15 hours per week, youll receive an annual salary up to £55,941 per annum FTE depending on experience How we will support you Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider team Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job As a Pharmacist, your responsibilities will vary.
You will Be responsible for the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and the multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the provision of service meets the contractual obligations.
Provide daily expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring that a safe but modern medicines management service is provided to prisoners.

Requirements GPhC registered Pharmacist.
Management and leadership experience (desirable).
Procurement and audit experience (desirable).
Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy including pre-registration training Excellent communication skills Although not essential ideal applicants would have at least 2 years pharmacist experience Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
