We have ambitious plans to shape how we work with families, placing practitioners and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do.
Through Vital Signs, our vision for Children in Norfolk, we work with whole family networks and across the whole system to support families to build on their strengths and to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Bringing together a team of specialists through a central hub, our new model is designed to provide intensive short-term interventions to prevent entry into care, escalation to long term care, prevent placement breakdown or facilitate placement step downs.
We are looking for Peripatetic Outreach Workers to proactively provide support and interventions to families and young people so they can achieve the best possible outcomes in life through implementing both the New Roads and Emergency Crisis Support services.
You will contribute to the care planning process by participating in statutory reviews, planning meetings, and progress meetings as required.
To join our New Roads service, you will need a good level of literacy and numeracy, a willingness to undertake relevant training courses and the ability to form effective relationships with children.
We will support you to attain an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, which must be successfully completed within 18 months of appointment.
More than anything, you will have a passion to support young people, be a good listener, have patience, understanding and really want to support young people so they can achieve the best possible outcomes in life.
