We are recruiting for a People Services Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the people team on all people led administrative processing.The role will offer you lots of variety and no day will be the same.
You will manage the day-to-day team activity, streamline processes and support the introduction of new automated processes via the HR system.
You will roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, managing and supporting the team with onboarding, payroll, answering HR queries, processing all people changes and provide excellent customer service providing first line advice and guidance with an all-round HR support service to the wider business and the people team.As a team we provide first class customer service to our colleagues, ensuring best practice is at the forefront of what we do, bringing to life our people strategy - Attract, develop, Retain.So, If you would love to join the team within Manchester's iconic Metrolink, what are you waiting for, we can't wait to hear from you!Key accountabilities will include:Challenge the status quo, making changes to current ways of working to improve our services through process improvements.Manage the workload of the team, ensuring SLA's are met, audits are completed and we achieve 99% accuracyBe the point of escalation for complex queries.Develop and implement a monthly audit process for the team.Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to drive efficiency in the team.Manage monthly payroll input and liaise with our third-party payroll provider to ensure compliance & accuracy.You'll work in partnership with the People Team Heads of Department supporting on change projects requiring process support, such as wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, engagement.You'll be passionate about creating an awesome customer experience service for our teams at KAM.You'll support a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the team's development plans and creating opportunities to learn, grow and outperform year on year.Stay up to date on employment legislation changes and impacts on the team and ways of working.We want you to love data, know the data, challenge it and work with the wider People Team to drive improvements.Provide monthly data insights reports to showcase your team performance.What you'll bring:CIPD level 5 or working towards the qualification (desirable)Experience managing a HR administration team (essential)Experience in complex HR administration role (essential)Cascade & Recruitment + systems knowledge (Desirable)Passionate about driving improvements and changeStrong relationship building skillsStrong leader who cares about developing their team to be their bestFlexible approach, you can adapt to your situation to get the best resultsAttention to detail – you can understand an interpret processes to drive improvementsAnalytical focus – you can understand processes, systems and data to drive changeGood knowledge of Microsoft OfficeResults focused – you will drive change and take the team with you on the journeyKnowledge of payroll (desirable)Our Commitment to you: At KAM, we celebrate the diversity of our customers, communities, and colleagues, and strive for a workforce which is equitable, inclusive and representative of the communities we serve and we strongly encourage applicants of all genders, ages, ethnicities, cultures, abilities, and sexual orientation to apply.
