The Office of the Global CAO includes the Global Finance, KPMGI People & Culture and Global Procurement teams and our areas of focus are:Driving strategic Business Planning with KPMG Firms Monitoring and reporting the financial performance of KPMG International and the financial compliance of KPMG Firms Sourcing and negotiating third party contracts supporting KPMG International and KPMG firms Driving Talent and Engagement programs and policies for the KPMG International workforce.About this team The KPMG International People & Culture (P&C) team works to ensure our people are supported whilst carrying out their Global roles.
The team consists of P&C Business Partners who provide designated support to each Global group and Global leader, and P&C Advisors who work closely with leadership in each of the core locations.
Together, the team is responsible for ensuring the best possible experience for our people, irrespective of whether they are in long-term Global roles or shorter secondments.
The P&C team is the custodian of the people and talent strategy for KPMG International, which includes providing guidance on recruiting new talent, welcoming new joiners, managing performance, supporting career progression, overseeing reward decisions, and improving colleague engagement.Role summaryThe KPMGI P&C BP is a primary liaison on all People matters impacting relevant global colleagues, across multiple global locations and global groups.
This role works closely with the global leaders of a designated global group (including the Global Leader and respective leadership team, Chief of Staff (CoS), Senior People Leader (SPL), where applicable), in-country P&C Advisors supporting Global and other P&C BPs within the KPMGI P&C team, delivering Strategic Business Partnering support and enabling key HR calendar activities.
This role has a challenging remit of managing various global stakeholders and appropriately responding to their needs.
The KPMGI P&C BP will apply their business partner and generalist experience to provide oversight, counsel, direction, and support to ensure both effective and efficient provision of P&C services to a global function.
BPs are instrumental in driving improved business performance with focus on consistency of P&C communications, policy, process, protocols, governance, and quality- enabling fairness and consistency with the people practices applicable across KPMGI.Key Accountabilities Strategic Business Partnering Demonstrate deep understanding of the Global group operating models, commercial levers, the team's strategic priorities, to enable data-driven decision making with respect to workforce structure and People initiatives, namely:Deliver trusted strategic and operational counsel to the Global Leader and relevant Leadership team, influencing change initiatives, fostering synergies, cultivating influential and mutually respectful relationships Collaborate with the Leaders on various activities including leadership capability, performance management, upskilling and development, team effectiveness and organisational design Implement People strategy and desired impact in the following strategic areas: Talent Management: Contribute to the design and own the execution of the functional People and Business strategyLead on functional Talent reviews, resulting in defined and proactively managed Talent pipelines; contribute to appropriate developmental opportunities for high performersLead on Succession Planning for the Leadership and Business-Critical roles Champion embedding and evolving KPMGI P&C Talent Tools and Methodologies within the global group Workforce shaping and planning: Lead on the functional Workforce reviews leveraging KPMGI methodology Ensure KPMGI Location strategy and KPMGI Talent attraction and Resource operations processes are adhered to; Contribute to evolving both Support functional Reorganizations and workforce review efforts to ensure Global teams remain appropriately structured and resourced Performance Development: Contribute to improving the quality of the Performance Development process within the global function by making sure Performance Managers are upskilled and supported for quality performance discussions career conversations and performance outcome determinations Proactively support managing the HiPo pipelines Initiate and weigh in on the Employee Relations matters, including underperformance Change Management and IDE: Foster organizational resilience by developing the capacity and readiness for changeChampion and integrate KPMG's culture, values, ESG and IDE agenda throughout all aspects of the P&C function, processes, and initiatives Support the business with change management programs impacting KPMGI colleagues and advocate for representation and equity in people processes Contribute P&C content to the specific communication channels withing the global group Compensation/ Reward Planning: Conduct benchmarking as needed, for roles or teams, on the understanding of the KPMGI Reward Philosophy and country-specific reward parameters Learning and Development: Ensure that L&D programs and offering are aligned with the overall objectives of a global group Provide coaching to the members of the Leadership team, as needed, including participation in the delivery of the P&C Upskill and Information sessions P&C Annual Priorities and ProjectsActively lead and/or participate in special projects that support the execution of P&C annual priorities in support of KPMGI's People StrategyKey HR activitiesLead the execution of P&C employee lifecycle activities (, compensation cycle, performance management cycle, talent reviews, and succession planning) and provide support to other ongoing HR matters relevant to the global group: Performance Development:Foster a high-performing culture by identifying and addressing performance differentiation.
This involves partnering with the business on performance management cycle, facilitating performance calibration and addressing underperformance Compensation/ Reward: Collaborate with the business to support the annual salary and bonus cycles, offering input and oversight on benchmarking, total rewards, and IDE principles Talent Attraction and Talent Management Oversee recruitment activity to ensure diverse talent acquisition within aligned global group Review job descriptions, role levelling, package structure and work with Global Mobility, as requiredOversee, maintain and hold accountability for the integrity of all people data for your Global group; have the visibility of all incoming (and exiting) KPMGI resources and movements, be it direct hires, third-party contractors, rotations, etc.
Support the respective global group on workforce planning assessments and related requirements and actions (, skill gap analyses, strategic resourcing, recruitment drives, retention programs, defining the experience / capabilities / role requirements of the future, mobility, succession planning, etc.)
as needed Employee Relations Offer guidance to the Global leaders on informal employee relations challenges, which have no legal or disciplinary implications.
Proactively address and resolve employee concerns and questions.
Collaborate with the Head of KPMGI P&C, P&C Advisors and IOGC as necessaryCollaborate closely with people P&C Advisors in managing ER cases such as health and wellbeing support through occupational health, performance management, long and short-term sickness absence, flexible working requests, disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, end of contract assistance including probation periods and restructuresEngagementManage the roll out of the Global Pulse Survey (GPS) to the Global group.
Work closely with due Engagement Leads on deliverables, including addressing and following-up on identified areas for improvement to enhance our employee engagement and strengthen the employee lifecycle experience at KPMGIOther Collaborate with the Head of People & Culture and broader P&C leaders and teams on joint initiatives aimed at enhancing and implementing our annual P&C calendar activities.Experience /Knowledge / QualificationsMinimum 2 years experience working in the field of Customer in your member firm A degree in Marketing would be beneficial or demonstrated work experience in customer experience, marketing or sales consulting.
