Job summary St Ann's Hospice is seeking an expert administrator in the field of HR with experience of leading teams to lead, manage and support our HR administration team of two and support our mission of providing exceptional, end-of-life care to our patients and their families.It's an exciting time to be part of the team as we begin a digital transformation journey incorporating the implementation of a new HR system.

All staff must work in accordance with their statutory roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding in accordance with the Working Together to Safeguarding Children 2023, The Care Act 2014, and Prevent Duty 2015.Key Benefits35 days annual leave rising to 37 after 5 years and 41 after 10 years (inc. bank holidays, pro rata for part-time employees)Buy an additional week annual leave (pro rate for part-time)Contributory pension scheme up to 7% matched contributionLife coverEmployee assistance programmeFree parkingDiscounted lunches on siteMeaningful work, making a difference in the lives of othersDevelop HR skills and experience by supporting change projects Job description Job responsibilities Leading and managing the HR administration team; 121 meetings, performance management and development, absence management and all employee relations mattersHR administration including recruitment, onboarding, training processesPreparing and issuing offer letters and contractsCarrying out pre-employment background checks - DBS, Right to work, reference checksCollating payroll informationAdministrating of MAT, PAT, Adoption and Shared Parental leave processesCoordinating the leavers processReporting on status of training and learning activitiesMaintaining confidential employee recordsOverseeing the administration of hospice wide training activitiesCoordinating the administration of student placements Person Specification Qualifications Essential A good standard of general education to a minimum of GCSE grade C / 4 A* / 9 (or equivalent ) NVQ 3 in Business administration (or equivalent experience) Experience Essential Leading and managing a small team of direct reports Handling data, producing reports Handling confidential and sensitive information Computer skills - Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Sharepoint), HR systems (Ciphr would be an advantage) The ability to travel independently to both St Anns Hospice sites (Heald Green 4 days and Little Hulton 1 day per week)
