GSL Education are looking for a passionate and motivated Physical Education Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team in Newcastle.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering students' physical education and well-being while supporting teachers in delivering high-quality PE lessons Responsibilities of the PE HLTA: Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging PE lessons alongside the PE teacher.
Lead and manage PE sessions independently when required.
Support the development of students' physical skills, teamwork, and overall fitness.
Help in organising sports activities, events, and after-school clubs.
Monitor and report on student progress and participation.
Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students during PE activities.
Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to enhance student performance.
Support classroom management and promote positive behaviour during activities.
Requirements of the PE HLTA: Relevant qualification as a HLTA or substantial experience in a similar role.
Background in Physical Education or Sports Coaching is highly desirable.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and motivate students.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to engaging with students.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
