We have an exciting position for a Planning Department Systems Operative to support the Planning team in liaising with the Production team on Twilight Shift.
Job Title : PDS Operative Working Hours : Monday to Friday - 16:45 - 01:15 Location : Ashbourne Pay Rate : £14.73 per hour Key Responsibilities : To manage and liaise between planning and production on PDS operations reporting to the Planning Manager Collation of Process 1/2 orders Estimate where necessary orders for the following day Liaise with Planners on orders and additions/cancellations Handle additions/amendments during the shift and update production schedules where necessary Enter orders into the computer model to update bird, meat and portion requirements Set up and monitor the PDS system to ensure correct priorities are maintained against the schedules.
Carry out verification checks on PDS system to ensure weights and quality meets targets.
Release production schedules for both estimates and confirmed orders As required, provide holiday cover for others within the Planning Department Any other duties that are required Take reasonable care the Health and Safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions Work in a safe manner and observe the Company Health and Safety rules and Procedures.
You Will Need : Numerate and literate Able to speak, read and write English fluently Experience in Production Planning/Logistics/Stock Control etc - desirable Desire to progress into Planning through internal training Leadership skills Able to think clearly (e.g.
