Job summary Stone and Eccleshall Primary Care Network are looking for a full time or part-time dynamic and enthusiastic Salaried General Practitioner to work along our established PCN team.Details of the post:Salary: Dependent on experienceHours: hours per week - part time role may be consideredAccountable to: Stone and Eccleshall Primary Care Manager, Clinical Director and GP Clinical SupervisorBased: Stone and Eccleshall Primary Care Network.
Working across our 3 sites, Mansion House Surgery, Crown Surgery and Cumberland House.
Main duties of the job Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Cover all the clinical management of the patients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations, reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers as appropriate Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols as well wider guidance such as that from NICE Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
Check, read and interpret pathological results for patients Ensure appropriate follow up of patients Record clear and contemporaneous computerised consultation notes to agreed standards Ensure that practice clinical database is updated promptly and accurately with information relating to patient records, as required for clinical accuracy and for practice recording requirements under QOF and enhanced services.
Appropriate use of read codes.
Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions avoiding hand-written prescriptions.
Prescribe appropriately and in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary, NICE guidance and Good Prescribing Practice.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential The applicant must be a qualified GP with full GMC registration licence to practice, on a performers list and have a UK drivers licence Newly qualified GP (no more than 2 years qualified) with no previous substantive post Personal Qualities Essential Observance of strict confidentiality Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to listen and empathise Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Competent time management and organisational skills Adaptable and forward looking with problem solving and a 'solutions focused' approach A demonstrable commitment to professional development Computer literate Experience Essential Experience with using EMIS Experience of NHS general practice Experience of using electronic clinical patient records Experience of medicines management Experience of CCG initiatives Experience of QOF and clinical audit Experience of working in a primary care environment Desirable Understanding of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services including General Practice, the GMS contract, Clinical Governance, Network Contract DES, and Quality & Outcomes Framework Knowledge of the health needs of the surgery population Eligibility for minor surgery, CHS, obstetrics, family planning accreditation
