Job summary An opportunity has arisen within Warrington InnovationNetwork to recruit a PCN Pharmacy Technician.
Our ideal candidate would be anindividual with experience working within a GP practice or Primary CareNetwork.
The candidate must have a willingness to learn and bewilling to partake in an accredited training programme (if required) to worktowards achieving a nationally recognised CPPE pathway certificate, it isessential they will be proactive, flexible and highly motivated.
Main duties of the job We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our PCN Pharmacy Hub team.The successful candidate would be supported by a highly skilled Pharmacy Team of 1 x 8A Clinical Pharmacist, 3 x Clinical Pharmacists, 2 x Pharmacy Technician team members and a team of Care Coordinators.
Our pharmacy team work to agreed processes/procedures to provide a consistent and high quality approach to pharmacy care across our PCN and will be essential to support the delivery of care to our patients.

Our member practices include; 4Seasons MedicalCentre, Chapelford Medical Centre, Culcheth Medical Centre, Guardian MedicalCentre, Parkview Medical Centre & Springfields Medical Centre Job description Job responsibilities Key responsibilities: To oversee and participate in the daily preparation of repeat prescriptions in order to support the medical staff in ensuring high quality, safe and timely repeat prescribing.
To review hospital initiated medication changes in accordance with Practice Protocols and to update Patients medical records / prescribing accordingly.
To review and complete relevant document workflow in accordance to PCN policies.
To contribute to the development and implementation of a Medicines Management Policy in order to support the achievement of the Practices Prescribing Quality and Financial Targets.
To contribute to the review and development of Repeat Prescribing Protocols / Standard Operating Procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Repeat Prescribing systems.
To provide advice to GPs, staff and patients in changes to prescribing in order to support the improvement of prescribing safety, quality and cost effectiveness.
To make changes to Patients prescribing records in accordance with Practice Protocols in order to support safe and cost effective prescribing.
To take a proactive approach to the safe handling of prescriptions, including assessment of risk and making recommendations for improvement.
To respond to medication queries from Patients and Staff in a professional manner, referring to the appropriate GP in accordance with Practice Protocols.
To advise on the sourcing and safe management of medicines as appropriate.
Communication: Establish positive working relationships and effective communication with the Warrington Innovation Network GP Practices, integrated care health and care teams, and a range of local voluntary sector and community organisations.
Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communication styles to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment.
Communicate effectively to overcome communication barriers with patients and the general public displaying emotional crisis, vulnerability, verbal/ physical aggression, learning difficulties, recognising the need for alternative methods of communication.
Ability to cope with frequently challenging, diverse and stressful situations.Admin and professional To use highly developed knowledge and skills to provide high standards of patient centered care.
To maintain accurate contemporaneous records on all aspects of the care process and patient contact.
To ensure that all project paperwork performance information is completed and available in a timely manner.
Contribute to the development of the service, developing service pathways, paperwork and sharing good practice across Warrington Innovation Network.
Awareness of, and compliance with, all relevant local/clinical policies and guidelines.
Participate in data collection data for audit purposes and be responsible for monitoring progress against key performance target.
Effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
Value and respect colleagues, other members of staff and patients and show commitment to working as a team member.
To attend and participate in practice clinical meetings and other multi-disciplinary meetings where necessary.
To maintain a broad understanding of the work of Warrington Innovation Network, as a whole, and actively contribute your ideas for the improvement of service provision.
To ensure own actions contribute to the maintenance of quality service provision.
Undertake appropriate role specific training as required and to be responsible for the self-development of skills and competencies through participation in training and development activities and to maintain up to date technical and professional knowledge relevant to the post.
