Job summary South Rural PCN has an exciting opportunity for hardworking and enthusiastic emergency care practitioner (ECP) / paramedic to join our Needham Market Country practice.
You will be based at Needham Market practice but will be required to cover care home ward rounds.
The role is offered on a full-time basis.
The post holder will use advanced clinical skills to provide education to service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment.
Main duties of the job To provide a specialist/advanced paramedic resource for health care professionals and service users, working in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
To work within the community, as an autonomous, accountable, specialist / advanced paramedic, in the provision of a holistic approach for individuals including assessment, management and treatment, to deliver high quality patient services.
To assess, manage, treat, refer and/or signpost patients/service users who attend surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury.

Our PCN includes the following practices: Bildeston Health Centre, Constable Country Medical Practice (East Bergholt and Capel St Mary), Hadleigh Health Centre (Boxford), The Holbrook and Shotley Surgery and Needham Market Country Practice.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered paramedic educated to degree/diploma level in paramedicine or equivalent experience.
Clinical skills qualifications or evidence of equivalent experience.
Experience Essential 2 years (or equivalent) consolidation of learning period completed as a newly qualified paramedic.
Management of patients with long term conditions.
Experience of working to protocols and guidelines and patient group directives.
Excellent communication skills.
Confident on IT systems and email.
Ability to work under pressure and made sound judgements when faced with conflicting pressures.
Able to organised and prioritise workload well.
