Job summary We would like to appoint a General Practitioner under the national Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) to work with the practices in TASC Primary Care Network.We are looking to provide a newly qualified GP the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive environment, working as part of our well staffed multidiciplinary clinical teams.
All three practices are training practices and TASC PCN is an approved learning organisation.The post is up to six sessions a week, worked in blocks in each practice and will include time for clinical supervision.The fixed term nature of this post until end of March 2026 reflects what is currently understood regarding the funding associated with the GP ARRS role.
Clearly, this funding could be extended or, for the right candidate, other opportunities within a PCN practice may present themselves.
Main duties of the job Our PCN GP will, as part of our practice teams, provide on the day support for seeing patients with acutepresentations in the three member practices and support home visitingincluding care home visits.
The postholder will deliver an excellent standard of clinical care, adhere to the GMCstandards for good medical practice and maintain a positive, collaborativeworking relationship with members of the practices and the wider multidisciplinaryteam About us TASC PCN formed in June 2019 with three like-minded practiceswanting to provide joined up services for our local community.
We have adiverse range of clinicians working with us to support us in our patients' care.The PCN provides services to 28,000 patients across the Seaton andAxminster area in East Devon including the following practices: Townsend HouseMedical Practice, Seaton and Colyton Medical Practice, Axminster MedicalPractice.We use SystmOne clinical system and consult with our patientsusing a range of methods from face to face, video, telephone and electronic consultations.
We are an approvedlearning organisation, actively participate in research projects and we are currentlyin the final phase of incorporating to enable us to develop further as anorganisation.
Job description Job responsibilities The following are the coreresponsibilities of the PCN General Practitioner:Delivery of highly effectivemedical care to the entitled population of the PCN member practices.As part of the same day teams,the effective management of on the day presentations, this may includetelephone triage, face to face consultations, online consultations, homevisiting and care home visits.Work collaboratively withstaff of the member practices, PCN employees and with the wider health andsocial care team.Provision of servicescommensurate with the primary care contract.Generic prescribing adheringto local and national guidance and individual practice formularies (whereapplicable).Processing of administrationin a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and otherassociated administrative tasks.Maintain accurate clinicalrecords in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance.Adhere to best practicerecommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.Attend and contributeeffectively to practice meetings as required.Participate in clinicalgovernance and training requirements of the member practices.Adhere to PCN and practiceprotocols and policies.Commit to self-learning and contributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practices.Ensure compliance with the annualappraisal process.Prepare for, and complete, the5-yearly revalidation process.Use resources appropriately.
