Job summary We are looking for a pharmacy technicianto join our team at Wyvern Health PCN (Priory Road Medical Centre, The LawnMedical centre and Old Town Surgery) with a passion for primary care andworking with our patients and staff.
You will join PCN pharmacy team ofpharmacists and pharmacy technicians who will provide support.
There will be a variety of roles whichwill bring interest and diversity to your day, such as medicine reconciliationand supporting patients post discharge from hospital, data collation formedicine optimisation, audits, policy development, day-to-day medication issueresolution, researching medication shortages, supporting patients in use ofmedicines & promoting electronic dispensing, managing safety alerts &staff training.Technicians play an important role insupporting PCN repeat prescription coordinators, clinical pharmacists,community pharmacists and other members of the team to enhance patient safetyand improve patients health.
The post holder will be a motivated individualwith an enthusiasm for people, quality improvement and care, with opportunitiesto enhance your clinical knowledge.The role will encompass clinical,technical, educational, and administrative elements.
There will be a mix offace to face, telephone, and video consultations with patients, providing avaried and interesting working day.

Pharmacytechnicians must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Entryto the PCPEP programme will include the option for an accreditation of Prior Learning(APEL) process.
Person Specification Knowledge and skills Essential Relevant advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of general practice and evidence based medicine Good clinical pharmacy knowledge including terminology An appreciation of the nature of primary care prescribing, concepts of rational prescribing and strategies for the improvement of prescribing Experience Essential Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy Qualifications Essential Professional registration with GPhC BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
