Payroll Manager

We are delighted to be supporting this successful business based in Cardiff in helping them recruit an experienced senior payroll professional. You may be a seasoned manager looking to work at a similar level or someone keen to progress and develop further in a role.

As the new Payroll Manager you will report into an experienced Head of Finance who has a thorough understanding of payroll. You will have two payroll staff that report into you and who conduct day to day payroll activities. As well as being someone who enjoys the challenge of improving practices and procedures you will thrive when taking a hands-on approach to your work.
The job Oversee and manage all payroll processes for multiple entities Ensure consolidation and automation of payroll processes across the organisation Ensure compliance to regulations within the payroll function Collaborate with other teams, including HR, to ensure seamless payroll operations and ensure a people centric approach to work. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of payroll assistants to deliver accurate and effective payroll systems Encourage a growing 'customer experience' culture across all business support functions Manage pension administration and compliance The person specification Demonstrate knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance Solid payroll systems experience Experience in managing a small payroll team Demonstrate traits of accuracy and being particular about attention to detail Natural problem solver Strong communication skills Salary & benefits Salary is competitive and based on experience and suitability Hybrid and flexible working conditions Free on-site parking Death in service x 3 25 days holiday plus 8 bank hols increasing up to 30 days with service Generous pension scheme The next step To apply please submit your CV in the first instance or hit 'apply for this role' or email to find out more.
