Purpose of the Role: The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in optimising payroll operations by leveraging expertise in payroll systems and processes.
This position requires a deep understanding of payroll software, compliance regulations, and a keen eye for process improvement opportunities.
By analysing and recommending enhancements to payroll systems and processes you will contribute to the overall efficiency, accuracy, and compliance of payroll operations Key Objectives and Requirements of the Role: Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll systems, software, and processes, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
Assess and evaluate current payroll processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement, automation, and streamlining.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll systems with other HRIS and financial systems.
Analyse and interpret complex payroll data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls in payroll operations.
Provide training and guidance to payroll administrators and other stakeholders on system functionalities, processes, and compliance requirements.
Stay informed about changes in payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements, ensuring compliance and recommending necessary updates to processes and systems.
Act as a liaison with external vendors and payroll service providers, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
Generate and analyse payroll reports to provide insights, trends, and recommendations to management.
Required Knowledge & Experience: Must have: Deep understanding of payroll software and best in class payroll process.
Previous experience working to implement a new payroll software Desirable: Previous experience with the MoorePay payroll system would be desirable but not essential.
