Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a new Patient Services Advisor into our administration team.
The successful candidate will join the existing team to provide admin support and services for the practice and our patients.
Main duties of the job We are looking to recruit a motivated individual who is passionate about providing high quality healthcare services and motivated to work as part of a small established team to tackle the varied workload together.Some of the main duties of the role include: Filing, Coding, Patient Workflow and Contact, Providing Support to the Patient Services Reception Team as required.
About us We are a medium sized practice with around 8,150 patients across a wide area.
We have an established full complement of doctors and nurses as well as a new look senior management team who are on hand to support our team of Patient Services Advisors, Medical Secretaries.As a surgery located in the heart of Brighouse, we are committed to the well-being of our patients and staff, welcoming new ideas to improve patient care.
Job description Job responsibilities The successful applicant will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with working within the administration department of the surgery.Duties include but are not limited to:Document Workflow and Management (Scanning, Filing, Clinical Coding)Answering General EnquiresAccessing, Recording and Updating Patient RecordsMaintenance of Paper and Electronic Medical Records.Providing Support when required to the Reception TeamProvide Flexible Sickness or Holiday Cover as required.
** In addition to the duties above, further training will be provided where necessary to cover Referrals, Medical Reports & Summarising should it be required.
Person Specification Experience Essential Experience of working within a busy administrative environment Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Oral) Strong IT Skills Excellent Telephone Manner Competent in Office and Outlook Effective Time Management Ability to work as a team member and solo Good Interpersonal Skills Motivated Keen to Learn and Improve on existing skillset Desirable Experience of working within General Practice Experience of working within GP Practice, Administration Department
