We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead & Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Swinfen Hall, a Category C men's Prison and Young Offenders Institution located in Staffordshire.

Hours: The site currently offers 4 shifts per week - 3 x 9 hour shifts and 1 x 10.5 hour shift.

Salary: This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £28,000 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Patient Engagement Lead & Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received. As the Patient Engagement Lead, you'll be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction through effective service user engagement and peer-led forums, the planning and delivery of projects/programmes in line with patients' needs and priorities, involving patients (where possible) in project and training delivery. Ensure statutory and organisational requirements are met, that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently across all sites with timely evaluations and feedback/recommendations communicated with patients, staff, and external partners where necessary. Work collaboratively with senior management to assist in establishing patient reviews of new innovations for business.
