Job summary If you are looking for an interesting and varied role and would like to work as part of a friendly and busy team this could be the position you are looking for.A vacancy has arisen for the role of Pathway Co-ordinator within the Oncology Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB).We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication & problem solving skills.
You will require high levels of tact and diplomacy with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively to enable day to day management.
You will be working alongside a number of consultants and various other clinical staff.
Main duties of the job Working for a Team of Consultants, you will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication & problem solving skills.
You will require high levels of tact, diplomacy with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively to enable day to day management in a fast-paced environment.
You will need to have keyboard skills, audio typing proficiency, ability to work well in a team and have a pleasant disposition.
To administratively co-ordinate and support with the admin team within the department, manage outpatient appointments, liaise with patients, to ensure efficient patient pathways and supporting with training and development.
It is desirable that all applicants have a sound and thorough understanding of Meditech's functionalities and significant experience of its application within the outpatient environment.
You must also have a comprehensive understanding of outpatient administrative processes, and the Trust's Patient Access Policy.

Last year we undertook almost 33,700 planned surgical operations in our 57 operating theatres.
We are one of only 7 Trusts nationally with more than 50 operating theatres.
We carry out more than 140 elective procedures each working day.
