Job Title:    Pastoral Support Worker Location:    Chestnut Hill School, Holywell, CH8 9DX Salary:        Up to £26,000 per annum Hours:        40 hours per week, Mon-Thur 8am – 5pm/Fri 8am-3pm Contract:    Permanent, Term Time Only UK Applicants only.

As part of our growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Pastoral Support Worker to join our team at Chestnut Hill School in Holywell.
About the role This is a great opportunity for a Pastoral Support Worker who wants to support pupils with varied and complex needs.
Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.

We are looking for a Pastoral Support Worker, who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.
Key Responsibilities:  Reporting directly to the senior leadership team about trends in behaviour and supporting the implementation and evaluation of whole school communication & behaviour strategies.
Assisting and managing the return of students back to the classroom.
Implementing agreed strategies to manage and improve the behaviour of pupils in the school.
Monitor and analyse the behaviour of pupils, using the online behaviour management system.
Providing an on-call response to support teaching staff, when appropriate Liaising with teaching staff to support teaching and learning.
Supporting students in following the rules of the school, and meet their individual objectives.
Ensuring the safeguarding of all pupils by supporting the safeguarding lead as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Person.
Supporting regular CPD on communication and behaviour strategies to support pupils.
Essential: High standard of literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience working in an education environment, with a range of pupils.
Successful experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs and challenging behaviour.
