Pastoral Care Manager sought for a well-established Secondary School in the rural location of Devizes. This full-time, year-long, permanent position offers an annual salary of up to £42,708 plus a range of exceptional employee benefits. We are ideally seeking an experienced candidate who can demonstrate experience working within the education sector, possessing exceptional knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding while promoting the welfare of children.
As a Pastoral Care Manager, you will be responsible for:
Supporting vulnerable student groups, specifically SEND, PP, and LAC. Managing, monitoring, and handling student behaviour, attendance, and the general welfare of all students. Attending parent and guardian meetings. Coordinating Pastoral Support Plans and CAF/TAC meetings. Contributing to underperforming students, monitoring their progress, and assisting with all communication. Setting and confirming ideal targets and outcomes. Consulting with Heads of Year to support specific focus groups. Producing relevant information and assisting with report writing. A huge part of your role will involve continuing communication with those involved in the wider process. You will need advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for all communication, arranging meetings, and producing internal correspondence.
The ideal candidate will be able to evidence an excellent standard of education and safeguarding practice knowledge and skills when supporting secondary-aged students, having experience in the management of isolations and inclusions. This role will highlight your expertise in child safeguarding and education, requiring A Level education and certification in safeguarding. Please be aware that Enhanced DBS checks are essential for this position, along with a minimum of 5 years of continuous employment reference.
