Job Overview The Sales Lead will take responsibility for developing and executing strategy and operation of the new business element of the partnerships team.
Managing a team of two Partnership Managers (UK & DE), you will be responsible to continually focus on our ideal customer profiles and increase the number of retailers onto our CSS CPA service across the UK & EU with the team.
This role will look to build upon already established new business success and methodology by developing projects and operational excellence such as sales messaging, increasing industry presence, improving pitching excellence, sales methodology, attending networking events and more.
The role will also give a freedom to explore and test ideas and initiatives with a strategic budget to allow for this.
Travel and attending key events is also encouraged, with the team already attending events in the US, Germany and UK this year.
Key Responsibilities New Business - Develop and deliver the new business strategy alongside Head of Partnerships - Contribute to new business execution - From prospect to onboarding new clients - responsibility for helping achieve new business targets alongside the team to target numbers - Own and develop relationships with key partners and networks, helping leverage their platforms and awareness for new business growth and brand awareness - Ownership of New Business related OKRs, reporting internally to the team and senior leadership team - Track and analyse sales data to help spot new trends and optimise sales performance - Oversee the sales pipeline process through Salesforce, developing our methodology and systems - Own the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of strategic partners across various industries relevant to Google Shopping.
- Develop sales expertise, helping the team to deliver best in class experience with clients - Collaborate with the Partnerships team to shape our commercial offering Finance - Play an active role in P&L and budget work for new business and customer acquisition Other - Line management duties through a team of Partnership Managers - Lead industry event planning and exhibiting alongside Account Director (established clients) - Continue to develop the branding and messaging with Partnerships team - Using insights gained from clients to put forward product suggestions and ensure the value is clearly highlighted internally to ensure its priority.
Work alongside Product team on it's delivery - Take ownership of our CRM process development, working closely with product around new systems and processes - Play a key role in cross-team projects aimed at achieving OKRs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and identify new partnership opportunities that can provide a competitive advantage for Google Shopping.
