Partner required to join a renowned, global, multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy to lead the Principal Designer & CDM Consultancy services business unit.

Role.
You will play a key role in managing, overseeing, and growing the business unit.
Whilst remaining hands on and client facing, you will lead a team of Consultants, Associate and Director grades, delivering high quality services.
Projects range from c£500k to £500m across broad ranging sectors, blue chip and public sector clients across design and build, engineering and infrastructure projects.
Duties include: Strategic Leadership.
Setting long-term goals and aligning the company's objectives with market trends and regulatory changes.
Business Development.
Identifying opportunities for growth, securing new contracts, and expanding the client base.
Continuously improving the firms processes, workflows, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Representing the consultancy at industry events, conferences, and meetings to increase the firms visibility.
Establishing strong connections with stakeholders in the construction industry, including regulators, contractors, architects, and engineers within the wide business and externally.
Client Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Managing the delivery of CDM consultancy services, ensuring projects are compliant with legal regulations and client expectations.
Team Leadership & Management Leading a well qualified team of consultants providing mentorship and guidance.
Recruiting, training, and developing staff to maintain a high level of expertise within the consultancy.
Financial Management Overseeing the financial health of the consultancy, including budget management, cost control, and profitability analysis.
Ensuring the consultancy meets financial targets and achieves a sustainable revenue stream.
By balancing these duties, a partner ensures the consultancy remains competitive, compliant, and profitable in a highly regulated industry.
Qualifications Degree qualified in a design or construction management related role is preferred.
CMaPS status and Chartered Membership of a relevant body i.e.
MCIOB RIBA preferred.
Proficient in using standard Microsoft Office applications and experienced with BIM would be beneficial.
Other vocational and related qualifications are beneficial.
Experience You will most likely have gained your experience within the Safety and CDM consultancy sector, experience in delivering Principal Designer and Client CDM Advisor services having operated at Director or business unit lead level.
Alternatively, you may already be at Director or Partner level, responsible for CDM and possibly other services.
