Role: Part-Time Off-Site IPT Member Location: Chesterfield Salary Scale: £100 to £130 per day Start Date: ASAP Are you a dedicated and compassionate professional looking for a rewarding part-time role supporting students at a critical point in their education journey?
We are seeking a specialist member for our Inclusion Pathway Team (IPT) to work off-site with pupils and their families immediately following permanent exclusion (PEX).
This vital role offers the opportunity to be the first point of contact and a key support during challenging times.
About Us: Our academy is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive transition for pupils and their families during the difficult period following exclusion.
As a Part-Time Off-Site IPT Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring pupils feel supported and valued while introducing them to our academy and its ethos.
The Role: In this specialist role, you will work closely with pupils and their families off-site, providing guidance, support, and a positive first impression of our academy.
Your key responsibilities will include: Initial Engagement: Serve as the first point of contact for pupils and families following PEX, establishing trust and understanding their immediate needs.
Specialist Support: Work with pupils in their homes or other agreed locations to provide interim educational and emotional support until they transition to our site.
Caseload Management: Adapt to a frequently changing caseload as pupils are referred daily, ensuring timely and effective support for all new referrals.
Parental Support: Assist families during this challenging time, offering reassurance and introducing them to the academy's approach and resources.
Collaboration: Liaise with the wider team to ensure a smooth and positive transition for pupils to the academy site.
Requirements: • Experience in supporting students and families during transitions or challenging times, particularly in education or related fields.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
• Resilience, adaptability, and the ability to manage a changing caseload effectively.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with pupils, families, and academy staff.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all pupils.
