ASD/ADHD Teaching Assistant - Outstanding SEN Support School - Thurrock
Parker Smith Inclusion is delighted to be working with an outstanding school in Thurrock that is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to start immediately.
This role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) , ensuring that they receive the educational and emotional support they need to thrive.
Main Duties: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, focusing on ASD and ADHD needs.
Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement tailored educational plans, allowing each student to access the curriculum in a way that suits them best.
Assist students with sensory processing difficulties , helping them manage their emotions and behavior during the school day.
Help students develop social and communication skills , encouraging positive interactions with their peers and building confidence in their abilities.
Monitor progress and work closely with the SENCO to ensure that all strategies and interventions are working effectively.
Role Details: Location: Thurrock Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day (PAYE) Start Date: ASAP A supportive and inclusive school environment with a focus on ongoing professional development .
