A top Legal 500 law firm based in Leeds City centre is seeking an experienced paralegal, paying up to £25,300 plus benefits to join their Tier 1 ranked team who are at the forefront of the affordable housing sector.
The Paralegal will be supporting the Property Securitisation team, so the firm are ideally looking for a someone who comes from a Conveyancing or Property law background.
This will be a hybrid working role as a period of initial training.
Duties will include the following: Specific tasks relating to property charging transactions include: identifying titles at the Land Registry; obtaining Official Copy Entries and Office Copy Documents from the Land Registry; undertaking title checks and other property due diligence against properties; carrying out and reviewing property searches; obtaining items from Local Authorities and other third parties; chasing the client and third parties for outstanding items; carrying out pre-completion Land Registry Searches and; dealing with post-completion matters Specific tasks relating to Deeds of Variation include: reviewing title registers and plans to ascertain land ownership and legal interest over the land; obtaining and identifying relevant documents; chasing for responses from Councils and third parties and responding to queries raised by them; drafting planning application forms, deeds and covering letters Providing the Clients, Partners and Solicitors with progress reports as and when required Assisting with the organising, monitoring and delivery of the team's significant transactions The ideal candidate will come from a conveyancing or property law background.
You will have an eye for detail as well as the ability to manager your own case loads.
Experience using the land registry portal as well as drafting deeds.
Excellent legal research skills as well as demonstrable client facing skills.
