As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to a high standard, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
You will work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and play a key role in maintaining the quality and integrity of vehicle repairs.
Key Responsibilities: * Repair and replace damaged panels, doors, bumpers, and other bodywork components of vehicles.
* Use a range of hand and power tools, such as hammers, grinders, and welding equipment, to restore vehicles to original condition.
* Assess and inspect vehicles to identify the extent of damage and determine the best repair method.
* Straighten, fill, and smooth out dents, scratches, and other imperfections in body panels.
* Carry out structural and mechanical repairs where necessary.
* Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate with customers to provide progress updates on their vehicle repairs.
* Ensure all repairs are completed within agreed timescales and meet the required quality standards.
* Work closely with other team members, including paint technicians, to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality finishes.
Requirements: * Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle bodywork repair techniques, including welding, dent removal, and panel replacement.
* Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with customers and colleagues professionally.
* A valid UK driving license is preferred.
* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Body Repair (or equivalent) is desirable.
