About the role and about you There are two contracts available:We have Seasonal contracts that run unbroken from 17th March 2025 until 7th September 2025.We also have Guaranteed Hours contracts (circa 400 hours) that will cover the following periods: 8th May 2025 to 1st June 2025 & 20th July 2025 to 1st September 2025.There will be some opportunities for overtime shifts outside of this as well.Full training will be provided.We are the independent charity that loves and looks after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world.
The palaces are the setting for the stories that shape us all, and we're bringing them to people in ways that mean more to them.
We want everyone to find themselves in the spaces and stories we share.You will be joining our friendly and experienced team in supporting us during our exciting summer period.
We will be hosting a range of events, like our annual Music Festival and Food Festivals, alongside live programming and interpretation.
You will be working as part of the team across the site in a varied role, ranging from monitoring our beautiful historic rooms and interacting with visitors, to checking tickets at our entrances, ensuring everyone receives exceptional service.
You will also be looking after the safety and security of the site, including objects and people, alongside other duties as reasonably required.This role includes weekend and evening work.The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, security and working as part of a team.
You will have a suitable level of fitness in order to carry out the fundamental requirements of the job profile, which will involve working both indoors and outdoors, as well as some evening events.An interest and knowledge in history is advantageous but not necessary.Closing date: 31st January 2025Interviews: w/c 10th February 2025
