This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of innovative products that play a crucial role in today's world.\n\nPosition Overview\nAs a Paint Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing fabricated parts for wet painting, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
This role is essential in maintaining the exceptional finish and durability of the company products, which are relied upon by people worldwide.\n\nResponsibilities\n - Prepare fabricated parts for wet painting, including drilling, fettling, filling, sanding, shot blasting, sealing, washing, cleaning, degreasing, and masking components\n\n- Operate power tools for drilling, grinding, and sanding component surfaces in line with established processes\n\n- Mask threads and bores to protect from shot blast damage and paint ingress\n\n- Handle components through blast equipment to achieve a high-quality surface finish and cleanliness level\n\n- Hang components efficiently for priming and painting\n\n- Unload and pack components for delivery to production areas and stores, ensuring the paint finish remains undamaged\n\n- Monitor blast profiles on a daily basis\n\n- Clean the prep area daily\n\n- Maintain and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)\n\n- Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks on the shot blast equipment\n\n- Adhere to the company's health and safety, environmental, and waste management policies\n\nRequirements\n - Excellent attention to detail and ability to visually inspect components during preparation\n\n- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards\n\n- Good hand-eye coordination\n\n- Strong interpersonal and communication skills\n\n- Ability to work independently and as part of a team\n\n- Effective time management skills\n\n- Physical fitness to stand for long periods, climb flight steps, and manually handle various components\n\nBenefits\n - Pension scheme after 3 months of employment\n\n- Life cover from day one\n\n- Health Shield cash plan after 7 months\n\n- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays\n\n- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)\n\n- Long service awards\n\n- Various employee well-being initiatives\n\nAlongside this comprehensive benefits package, you'll be part of a company that values respect, communication, teamwork, recognition, and quality.
