Administration and logistical support - including administrative staff and team leaders to assist with intake, NDIS coordination and billing. About the role Yooralla has multiple vacancies in Sunshine or Newport for passionate, positive relationship builders with experience working with a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model to join our team as a permanent, full-time or part-time, Paediatric Speech Pathologist. This fulfilling role will provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services across the scope of practice to children with a disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.
Your working days will involve:
Providing support, resources and information as part of the key worker model, to meet the family's individual needs in a range of settings such as home, childcare, kindergarten or school. Using a family centred approach and drawing on the skills of the larger team to develop goals and strategies with the family to support their identified priorities. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists. Providing indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals. Working with clients and families with complex needs. Managing your own caseload and appointments. Driving to homes and community settings within a 30 minute radius. Flexible working schedule and environment e.g. home, office, community. About You You'll be an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification, be a member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), have good interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with families using a family centered, key worker approach. You'll have an ability to work collaboratively with a team to support clients and families.
Experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model. The ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families. The opportunity to build on your clinical practice – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with. Care for the work you do and for the people you work with. Competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems. Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. An Australian driver's licence and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across western suburbs as required. Appointment is subject to pre-employment checks including the NDIS Worker Screening Check, Inherent Position Requirements Employee Declaration, Working with Children's Check, Reference Checks, Speech Pathology Australia membership, etc.
