Paediatric Occupational Therapists Competitive pay rate/hour akin to current NHS salary bandings/locum rates Band 6 or 7 Employment Type: Associate / Self Employed / Long Term Locum Location: Hampshire/Hybrid (or willing to relocate) 18 to 37 hours per week, term time to full contract (minimum 38 weeks per year) About the client: Our client provides paediatric OT services across Hampshire, North Surrey, and South Berkshire, for ages 2-25 years in the private and public sector.
Their services include EHCP assessments, treatment interventions, parent training workshops, school transition visits, and expert witness representation.
With a focus on individual needs, they offer high-quality interventions and collaborate with various professionals for holistic treatment.
The majority of their clients are on the autistic spectrum, many with sensory needs as well as learning disabilities, specific learning difficulties and other co-occurring conditions, whether these be developmental, neurological or chromosomal.
The Role: Our client is looking for motivated, proactive team players to deliver OT services in various settings including community, schools, homes, clinic, or online.
Travel will be required as their services are primarily delivered in community settings but they encourage hybrid working where possible.
Responsibilities: Conduct standard & EHCP OT assessments and write reports Provide therapy support, guidance, goals, and regular reviews of progress Maintain high-quality clinical notes and records Liaise with parents, agencies, and other professionals Mentor OT students and adhere to COT policies Undergo regular, in-house clinical supervision Attend such training as COT sees fit Ensure awareness of, and adherence to COT policies and procedures and refresh self regularly.
Requirements: Minimum Band 6 or 7 BSc Degree in Occupational Therapy HCPC accreditation and RCoT membership Valid DBS and driving licence 2-4 years experience in paediatric OT or relevant fields Good IT skills and knowledge of GDPR legislation Effective communication skills and ability to work autonomously Additional qualifications in sensory integration advantageous Prior knowledge of standardised assessment tests such as Sensory Profiles, M-ABC, BOT, BEERY, GOAL.
