We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who is already a skilled clinician with previous cancer-related experience, that can treat and manage complex cancer patients in an in-patient and outpatient environment and who is confident to challenge current practice and ensure that our patients receive up-to-date evidence-based treatments.You will be naturally empathetic, demonstrating good communication skills to facilitate close working relationships with both service users and staff.
You will need to be creative and flexible to meet the changing needs of the caseload and service.
You will demonstrate emerging leadership qualities and take an active interest in the teaching and development of others.
You will manage your own caseload whilst working as?part of an interdisciplinary team alongside Nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Therapy Technicians and Speech and Language Therapists.
In service training programs and staff appraisal systems are in operation to help you develop to meet the demands of the post.There will be a commitment to 1:4 weekend working + 2 bank holiday throughout a year.
