Our client, a leading aerospace company based in Wolverhampton, is currently seeking a Packer to join their dynamic Logistics Team As a Packer, you will play a vital role in supporting production needs and requirements.
You will work closely with the shipping team to ensure accurate picking and packing of items according to the daily shipping plan.
Your efficient and quick packing skills will be essential in achieving on-time shipments to customers.
You will have the opportunity to learn about different types of shipments and receive full training to excel in your role.
Summary: Start date: ASAP Duration: 6 months Location: Wolverhampton Pay Rate: £15.65 per hour plus shift allowance Hours: 37 per week - rotating shifts - Early shift 6-1.30pm Afternoon shift - 1 - 9pm Duties Include: Pack items and collaborate with the shipping team to ensure correct items are picked and packed.
Learn about the various types of shipments and pack them efficiently and effectively.
Attend daily shipping meetings and communicate with production control staff to meet the daily requirements for on-time shipments.
Verify dispatch documents, materials, and components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant procedures.
Interface with various personnel within the organisation to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
Maintain records and create systems as required for efficient dispatch operations.
Liaise with couriers for accurate loading and safe departure from the site.
Adhere to procedure and quality requirements for parts.
Sort and segregate waste for recycling and maintain a high level of housekeeping and 5S standards.
Requirements: Computer literate ideal Flexible with a willingness to work as part of a team Reliable, good timekeeping with a "can do" attitude.
High level of attention to detail.
